Ghaiiamstown, Wednesday, 9 a.m. The Waitemata.—The branch run from the bottom level has opened out to 15 inches in the rise, and is carrying,good gold aU fche way up. The general crushing of the main lode and vein is looking well for an ounce, exclusive of specimens. Tookey (Lowden's tribute), 25 tons gave 37| ounces of gold. The El' Dorado have finished crushing 270 tons, and will have a fine haul of gold ; close upon 550 ounces expected. Caledonian,: <£19 ; Bright Smile in. demand at 255.; Nonpareil, £4. ~ . The Imperial Crown, Golden Hill tribute, have crushed. 15 tons for 28f ounces retorted goldv The Poverty and Charleston . tributers , crushing is looking splendid;.from 7 to Bozs. per ton expected. The Twenty-third of June have unearthed another lot of specimens. They have now lOOlbs. in hand • some of them are very, rich, and are on exhibition in the Bank of New Zealand.
