Like the hare? and tortoise, Riverton woke up too late Domigan came out of Iris shell. He was most unfortunate in not securing' the hat-trick. He just missed it by one ball. Ward was very expensive in his short spell at the bowlers' end. He had Parkas at «iv°-r nicking them up for the 100 yards charms. Is a slow hr.—l-r against -th«> wind good general--ship ? L?e was on his toes behind the stumps, "all out" saving runs. Parkes joined the poultry dealers. fielding was not worth- a kettle of fish.
i —■ — ■ I George Webb took a nice catch at point, helping Domigan out. Railway's fielding was very smart; they had a fine slip and mid-off. {- Buchanan carries his bat till next season. !■' The following are the averages for j the season: —
