RIVERTON ATHENAEUM.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting held on Monday evening was attended by Messrs J. A. C. Mackenzie (chairman), T. Borland, Jno Crawford, G. R. Berndtson and Mrs Gunnion. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs. T. R. Abercrombie and A. D. Angus. The .Librarian reported that twelve novels, of which Mrs C. Gray had contributed ten had been placed on the shelves of the library. It was decided to thank Mrs Gray for her contribution, . Accounts amounting to £3 15s 3d were passed for payment. It was decided to purchase books to the value of £5 for the ensuing month.
