BOWLING

On Friday last a rink from the Riverton Club comprising W. P. Scott, F. Hill, It. Lumsden and P. *J. Eccleton (s) won the rinks tournament at Otautau, defeating a rink from To Messrs J. Dunwoodie, G. JTrobarth, J. Soar and D. Shaw (s) by 24 to 18. The Riverton team won all their games by big margins. Mr G. Sinclair, ihs president, in presenting 'tho prizes at the conclusion, cmphasiis'e'd the fact that the final was a very fine; well-foUght contest. Another rink front the Hive*, ton Club, comprising Messrs W. S. Hunter, J. W. Clarke, S. Halt ' and M. P. Lyng also tdok pari in the tournament. Sixteen rinks competed from different parts of Southland.
