The Minister of Public Works is advised that the headings of the Otira tunnel are now actually joined up most satisfactorily, reflecting great credit on the engineers, whose work approaches a record .for accuracy. The alignment is out only three-quarters of an inch, the levels differed only one and one-eighth inches, and the chainage 3G inches.
