Edward Walker and another, already constructed, commencing one chain east of the Company’s burning, Prospectors’ Gully, Ovepuki, oud terminating at applicants’ claim; length, 30 chains.—Granted. PROTECTION. Thos. Warren, 30 days, for claim in Buckley’s Gully, Orepuld.—Withdrawn. DAM. Sum Hing, already constructed, on Clarke’s Terrace, Round Hill ; area, \ acre —Mr O’Reilly for applicant. Mr Lyle, for objectors, D. Smith and J. O’Brien. From the evidence, it appeared there was an infqrmalitv in the posting of the notices, and the application was refused, with 10s 6d costs. PROSPECTING AREAS. The following applications for prospecting areas for dredging purposes were s at the request of Mr Young, adjourned until next Court day to allow of being properly marked out;— Robert F, Cuthbertson, situated on the Waiau River about 1} miles up the river, from the sea beach, and extending 3 miles up the river. W. S. Mitchell, situated on the Waiau river, commencing at Lillburn Creek, and extending 2 miles down the river. •I. P. Young, situated on the Waiau river, commencing at the junction of Orawai Stream with the Waiau, extending thence down stream for 2 miles.
