mortgage bill ONLY MAJOR MEASURE (Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Another fortnight will see the end of the present session of Parliament, according to the Prime Minister (Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes, in an interview on Saturday on the eve of his departure for Wellington. Mr. Forbes said ten days should be long enough to clear up all the business of -the session. The measure that would take up most of the time of the House was the Rural Mortgagors’ Final Adjustment Bill, but this would easily be finished in a fortnight. Apart from this, the House was concerned only with minor matters. Mr. Forbes said that probably a few small amendments would be made in the Mortgagors’ Adjustment Bill, but he would not discuss the nature cf the amendment. Mr. Forbes is leaving for England on April 2 and will be absent for four months.
