A RESCUE SHIP COLLISION WITH ICEBERG MOSCOW, March 28. ; The ice-breaker, Lipka, which was on its way to attempt to rescue the survivors from the sunken ice-break-er Cheliuskin, sent out S.O.S. signals to-day when some distance from Vladivostok. She reported that she had collided with a submerged iceberg and was leaking dangerously, while her engines had been so badly damaged that she was drifting helplessly,. Efforts will be made. to go to herald with another icebreaker. Three Russian aeroplanes, which started from Cape Wankaren in an endeavour to reach the Cheliuskin’S crew*, encountered violent snow storms, in which one plane crashed, but its two occupants were only slightly injured. The other -two machines were compelled to return to their bases.
