<♦> TO-MORROW AND WEDNESDAY “THOSE CHARMING PEOPLE” Cvril Maude, whom many remember for his great character of “Grumpy” will be seen again in Paramount's first British made picture, “These Charming People.” at the Municipal Theatre to-morrow and Wednesday night«. Produced entirely in England, this has been hailed as the most perfect taking picture that has so far come from the Old Country. Tn this picture Cyril Maude portrays an impecunious old Colonel, gifted with humour and finesse, who lives by his wits, having everything that money or credit can obtain. He is most ably supported by such eminent London stage stars as Nora Swinburne, Godfrey Tearlc, Ann Todd and Anthony Ireland. The story is by Michael Arlen, who., throughout the English speaking world, is known as a brilliant writer of satire and his stories of Mayfair society, such as ‘‘ Those Charming People, - ” have been widely read and adapted to the stage. < Ho wrote also, “The Green Hat.” The supporting programme includes British News, cartoon, and comedy. “REBECCA OF SUNNYBROOK FARM’ ’ The season for the charming picture “Rebecca of Sunny Brook Farm,” which is playing extended seasons throughout New Zealand, commences next Saturday at 2.30.
