N.Z. DAIRY BOARD

AND OTTAWA CONFERENCE RESULTS MOST SATISFACTORY (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, Last Night. At a meeting of the Dairy Board to-day gratification was expressed at the successful outcome of Ottawa in the securing of preferential treatment from Great Britain for the entry of New Zealand butter and cheese and other dairy products to that market. The chairman. Mr lorns, said he considered that the results secured by the New Zealand delegation wore most satisfactory. It was a fine thing that they had been able to obtain preference. The very idea of his would have been ridiculous a few years ago. Dairy farmers of the Dominion had every reason to be very grateful to Britain. Mr Coates and the New Zealand representatives as a whole had done very well. Other members of the board spoke in a similar strain. It was resolved that the board place on record its deep appreciation of the results secured at Ottawa and to express to the British Government its realisation of the fact that Britain had shown a most generous spirit in extending the preferences it had. The board also resolved to express its gratitude to the political and advisory members of the Now Zealand delegation.
