DEATH SENTENCE
On Horace Livermore FOR MURDER AT UPPER HUTT COMMUTED TO LIFE TERM (Per Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The death sentence passed on Horance Frank Livermore for the murder of the child Vera Forster at Upper Hutt, has been commuted to life imprisonment. The Minister of Justice, Hon. J. G. Cobbe, announced that the Executive Council had been actuated by the jury's strong recommendation foi mercy, which was confirmed by the Judge.
