NICHOLLS--TAYLOR. A wedding of particular interest to Central Hawke’s Bay people was celebrated at St. Paul’s Prosbyf erin ii Church, Wanganui, last week, when Marjorie, only daughter of Mr and Mrs H. R. S. Taylor, of Wanganui, win married to John Augustus, eldest sou of Air and .Mrs J. A. Nicholls, of Hatuimi. i
Tho bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a frock ot
1 heavy ivory silk with pearl passementerie trimming, ami beautiful veil Of Brussels lace, caught nt tho neck with strings of small pearls ami clusters of orange blossom over each car. Slio carried a bouquet of white roses ami pale pink earnations, while silver shoes ami stockings completed her toilette. Her .maid of honour was .Miss Doris Falkiner, wearing pale lavender georgette with crinoline hat to tone. Miss Helen Nicholls, sister of the bridegroom, wore pale green georgette, with green crinoline hat, and Miss Ria. ■Me* : Beth pale peach georgette, also with | crinoline hat to match. All carried bouquets to match their frocks. Elizai both Grey Young (Wellington) was ■ flower-girl, dressed in fine white muslin with lavender and pink ribbons and posy. Mr AV. Godwin, of Wellington, acted as- best man, and Messrs Morris and Winston Taylor, brothers of the bride, as groomsmen. The wedding service was performed by the Bev J. Paterson, M.A., and Canon Wil- | fred Williams, who delivered the address. Messrs E. Pleasants and IST. Parkes acted as ushers. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of-the bride’s parents, where Mr and Mrs Taylor received their guests, Airs Taylor wearing a gown of mastic lace with, beige georgette coat, and black and beige hat, and carrying a bouquet of deep pink roses and spraxias. Mrs J. C. Nicholls (Waipukurau), mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of rose beige georgette with hat to tone and carried a bouquet of scarlet. Airs Bagge, grandmother of the bridge, wore a frock of black silk, and carried a bouquet of shaded purple flowers. The tea-tables were beautifully decorated by Miss E. Taylor (aunt of the bride) in pink, helitropo and green, and, matched the bridesmaids’ frocks. Toasts were given and responses were made by the Bev J. Paterson, Canon Williams, Messrs H. D. Bates, N. Annabell, E. Thane, M. Barton, M. Taylor and W. Godwin. When Mr andi Mrs Nicholls left for their honey-moon the bride wore a three-piece suit of almond green and small hat to tone. Among those present were Airs Nelson and Miss Nelson, of Waipukurau.
