AT THE GENERAL ELECTION

COUNTRY GAINS £320.

The Consolidated Fund benefits to the extent of £320 as a result of 32 candidates at the election forfeiting their deposits of £lO each. They failed to secure a number of votes equal to one-quarter of the total polled by the successful candidate in each case.
