•' UNDER GASLIGHT,"
With reference to the forthcoming production of the above play by the popular Taylor-Carrington Company at the Alexandra Hall on Tuesday night next, we quote the following ; —“ Despite the tremendous opposition of Williamson’s Opera Company aud the American Circus, the Taylor-Carrington Company continue to draw crowded houses at the Gaiety Theatre. Week after week new plays are produced, aud night after night they are greeted with large and enthusiastic audiences. The support this Compony has met with is phenomenal in the theatrical annals of Brisbane. Their latest production, ‘ Under Gaslight,’ is unquestionably one of their best. The plot is feasible, the language interesting, the situations powerful, and the stage effects sensational in the extreme. The scenic effects are beautiful, and the railway realism so well managed that it works the audience up to the highest pitch of excitement.”—Brisbane Courier. MAORI HAKA.
