WOODVILLE V. MANGATAINOKA,
The above Cup match was played on the local ground on Saturday, and resulted in a win for the home team by 39 runs. The ground was in a wretched state and reflected very little credit on the local committee. Certainly the weather was none of the best for getting the ground in order, but we think an effort should have been made to remove the cut grass from close to the wickets, Messrs Loader and Chatwin captained the respective teams.
