By an explosion which occurred in a colliery at Willingtou, Northumberland, 17 minors were killed and many others injured. The two convicts now in custody, who arc regarded as principals in the Muswell Lodge murder, eluded pursuit for weeks. They had engaged the conjurors as means of obtaining funds, and tiro believed to have been concerned in a large number of burglaries. When arrested they tried to shoot their captors. The conjurors have been released.
