Mr. Thatcher.-— We learn with much regret, which will doubtless be shared by many of our mirth loving fellow citizens, that tbis talented vocalist, and genial satirist takes bis departure for Auckland to-day in tbe Queen, where he intends staring it for a short season, and afterwards revisiting to Wellington. Judging from the thorough appreciation, and immense applause which hi* two performances here have received, there is little doubt but that on a future occasion, when he makes a more lengthened stay amor.gst v«, be will reap a rich harvest as the reward of his exertions. Madame Vitellt whose sweet ballad singing — have afforded so much pleasure to her auditors, also departs at the same time.
