The Rations to consist of the following articles which are to be of the best description. No. 1 Ration. No. 2 Ration. 8 ozs. Oatmeal 8 ozs. Ootmeel li lbs. Bread 8 " Bread 1 oz. Salt 1 " Salt £ " Soap I " Soap 1J pints Milk 1 pint Milk No. 3 Ration. 8 ozs. Meat 6 ozs. Oatmeal 1 lb. Potatoes 15 " Bread 4 ozs. Onions 1 " Salt No. 4 Ratiok. £ " Soap 1 lb. Bread 1| pints Milk £ oz. Soap The Contract to commence on tie Ist April next, and terminate on the 31st March, 1863. The Supplies to be delivered to the Provost or other Sergeaut in charge of the Prison upon his requisition. The Officer in charge, or person appointed by him to have the power of rejecting any article of. fcrcd, and if proper supplies are not immediately substituted, to purchase at the expense of the Contractor. Each tender must the four rations, and state the price for each of the four. Payment will be made monthly in the usual manner, by the Gommissariat, on production of proper vouchers. Office, until noon of Satureay, the 22nd instant, from persons willing to Contract for the supply of the following Rations of Groceries,, for the' year commencing the Ist April next, viz. :~ 1.0 oz.Tea 1 " Salt £ " Coffee, roasted and ground 2 " Sugar [ 1-86 " Pepper, ground I The tenders to slate the rate per Ration, as above. I Deliveries in packages of suitable sizes to be made to the Quarter Master, or Aoting Quarter ! Master of Corps or Detachment daily, at such times and places as may be decided by the Commissariat. Articles speoially imported, or taken out of Bond for this aervice, will be free from Colonial Duties. The Terms and Conditions will be the same as those for the Annual Contracts, published in the " Wellington Independent " Newspaper, of the 24th December, 1861. Any further information that may be required, with forms of tender, will be supplied on application at this Office.
