CURR EN T PROGR AMM E S "Ziegfeld Girl," which will be the attraction at the Academy to-night, comes to the screen as one of the most star-studded, beautiful, tuneful and spectacular musicals ever to come out of Hollywood. ft has everything that a musical should have for tops in entertainment—an all-star cast, a powerful dramatic theme, musical numbers produced on a lavish scale, costumes fashioned by a magic wand, and the world's most beautiful girls. Outstanding are its five principals, James Stewart, Judy Garland, ITedy Lamarr, Lana Turner and Tony Martin. The story itself concerns the rise of the three girls. Judy, lfedy and Lana from obscurity to fame in the Ziegfeld Follies. Their lives and loves with James Stewart. Tony Martin and fan Hunter form a strong thread through the musical background which intersperses the story throughout in true Ziegfeldian style.
