WEDDING BELLS

DICKSON—DICK A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Peter's Presbyterian Church, Tauranga, recently, the contracting parties being Miss Zena Elma Dick, of Waihi, and Mr Jack Gibson Dickson, of Tauranga. The Rev. J. W. Smyth officiated, and Miss Steele played the wedding music. The church was beautifully decorated in autumn tinted flowers. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming frock of ivory georgette and lace moulded to the figure, the skirt flaring gracefully from the knees. Her veil of hand embroidered tulle was held in place by a halo head-dress of orange blossom, and she carried a sheaf of cactus dahlias. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Ruby Dick, sister of the bride, Miss Gladys Neill, and Miss Edith Hopkin, and the flower girl who carried the bride's train was Peggy Simons. The three bridesmaids and the flower girl were attired in frocks of briar-rose organdie, with large puff sleeves, frilled to the elbow, matching the several rows of frills on the full flared skirts. They wore frilled organdie Juliet caps and carried bouquets of cactus dahlias to tone. Mr D. McLeod was best man, Mr A. Dickson, brother of the bridegroom, and Mr D. MacPherson acting as groomsmen.

Following the ceremony a largely attended reception was held at the Bell Tea Rooms. The guests were received by Mrs Dick and Mrs Dickson, the former wearing a becoming frock of black georgette and lace and black bangkok straw hat, her bouquet being of crimson zinnias. Mrs. Dickson wore a smart wedgwood blue ensemble with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of gold chrysanthemums.
