POITREL'S WIN. BOOKMAKERS HARD HIT. (Australian and N.Z. Cable ) ■MELBOURNE, this day. The bookmakers, particularly in Sydney, were very heavily hit over Poitrel's win i' l the Melbourne Cup. For a considerable time the horse was coasistently backed, until the market was exhausted.
