Richard Ar/ist, formerly a champion among cyclists, and champion sculler of ih; world atone I mo, resumed training in Sydney recently for tho purpose of being fit lo compete ia races when Ernest Barry arrives from England. He will, in a few days, start on a tour of the country on a bicycle. Arnst first won the wo:ld’s sculling championship in 1908, when bo beat W. Webb, of <New Zealand, on the Wanganui River. He held the title until beaten by Barry, on tbe Thames m 1912, Previously be had beaten Barry on the Zambesi (Africa), ia 1910.
