Mr Williams, speaking at a meeting of the Broken Hill Distress Fund Com-mit-toe in Wellington gave an unqualified denial to a statement appearing in the press to the effect that the Broken Hill strike was nearing its close. He said that his latest advice was in direct contradiction to this statement.
