ENGLISH TEAM FOR AUSTRALIA. SUGGESTED PROGRAMME. Received July 27, 2.25 p.m. 'SYDNEY, July 27. The Board of Control has submitted for the approval of the Marylebone Club the programme of proposed matches to be played by the English Eleven in Australia. In all there are twenty-sis fixtures, including nine two-day matches in the country centres. The team is expected to arrive at Premantle on October 21st, and opens the tour with a three-days’ match against Westralia, commencing on the 23rd. The principal fixtures and their commencing dates are: Against South Australia, November sth; Victoria, November 12th; New South Wales, November 19th; Queensland, November 27th; an Australian Eleven, at Brisbane, December 3rd. The first rest match will be played at Sydney, commencing on December 17th; the second test at Melbourne, December 31st ; and the third test at Adelaide, on January 14th. Victoria will be played again, .starting on February 4th; the fourth test, at Melbourne, on February 11th; Now South Wales on February 18th; and the fifth test, at Sydney, on February 25th; and South Australia on March 11th. It is officially announced that the following have been invited to become members of the M.C.C. cricket team for Australia; Douglas, Fender, Rhodes, Hobbs. Woolley, Hondren, Hearne, Russell. Strudv.ick, Barnes, Howell, Waddington, Makepeace, Dolphin, and| Spooner, who will be the captain or the side.
