, SHAMROCK V. RESOLUTE. FINAL RACE STARTED, WIND TOO LIGHT. Received July 27, 9.56 a.m. VANCOUVER, July 26, The Shamrock started at 12hr 60m 23 sec, and Resolute at 12hr dim 25 sec. RESOLUTE TAKES LEAD. VANCOUVER, July 26. The wind was cast north-east artd light for the final race of the America Cup. The course was south-west by west, half-west, fifteen miles out and in from the Ambrose‘lightship. During the first hour the boats luffed inshore. At 1.56 the yachts gibed for the mark, and tha Resolute slipped into the lead. RACE DECLARED OFF. NEW YORK, July 26. The race was declared off owing to insufficient wind.
