AMUSEMENTS & MEETINGS
HIS MAJESTY’S. ‘ Those who wish to see “Woman and the Law,” the William Fox photo-play based on the sensational De Saulles domestic tragedy, will have their last opportunity to-night at His Majesty’s. Theatre., The drama, written and directed by R. A. Walsh, has a scene of exceptional realism and intensity when the woman who has shot her husband for the sake of her child faces the jury, which is to decide her fate.. A particularly bright spot on the programme is the appearance of Miss Bathie HowieStuart in a series of character sketches, songs, etc. Miss Howie-Stuart is a performer of undoubted merit, and last night’s audience quickly recognised this fact and applauded her efforts in a manner that left no doubt ai|to what their opinion was. The usual ,change of programme will be made to-morrow evening, when Montague Love will be seen in one of the finest pictures yet placed to his credit, “The Grouch.” The photography is perfect, and in the unique settings ’ are laid out the episodes in the .story of two outcasts. There are some splendid supports, including a Triangle comedy, “The Tell-Tale Shirt.”
