AMUSEMENTS & MEETINGS.

HIS MAJESTY’S,

“A SOUL IN TRUST.”

Some of the situations in to-night's picture are as follow; The diverging paths of two women. The clandestine wife, having got rut of her eon, goes the way of an adventuress. The acknowledged wife, rearing the hoy as her own, and loving him as though he had been the child she herself lost at birth, lives in quiet happiness, and years later love again enters her heart. Then it is that the diverging paths cross, and the adventuress, still sullen and resentful towards all men, threatens t!o ruin the happiness of four people—and the medium for doing it is her own son. Belle Bennett, J. Barney Sherry, Lillian West, Grover Franke, and Darrell Ross all take part in this photo-play. The supporting pictures include the Topical Budget, “Chinese Contingent at the Front,” apd "Bear-hunting in Canada.” Seats may be reserved at Upton’s.

“THE KAISER: THE BEAST OP BERLIN.”

The despotic power of the Kaiser is graphically revealed in the remarkable motion picture entitled “The Kaiser: The Beast of Berlin,” which commences showing at His Majesty’s next Monday. It is not a patchwork, piecemeal picture, but a coherently constructed concatenation of events dating from the rape of Belgium to America’s entry into the war, with an irresistible, interesting story interwoven, showing the capture of the Kaiser and hie incarceration in a Belgian prison with the blacksmith of Louvain as his gaoler. The prices for this picture are the lowest that it is possible for the film to be screened at; circle Is 7d, stalls and gallery Is Id. Reserves may be secured at Upton’s without extra charge.
