STARVATION IN GERMANY.
RECENT RIOTS VERY SERIOUS. NATION'S MORALE WEAKENING. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Received April 16, 2.30 p.m. AMSTERDAM, April J5. Travellers from Germany emphasise the seriousness of the food situation. The poor in some parts are on the verge of .starvation. The Government has not allowed the publication of details of the recent riots, which were graver than those of 1916, and indicate the weakening of the nation's morale. 'ENGLAND'S BRUTAL BLOCKADE.' Received April 16, 3 p.m. BERNE, April 15. An inspired message states that England's brxital blockade is the main cause of the food shortage.
