Sailed—Kennedy (9.30 p.m.), for JPpogantri. Cm account of a shortage of labour op the Wellington wharves, the coastal sfceamer John has been delayed in her departure for Wanganui. The schooner Morning Light, wellk»own in the coastal trade, has been for some time in the hands of the shipwrights at Wellington, who have been making all the necessary alterations for converting her into a lighter, for which purpose she is to be utilised by the New Zealand Refrigerating Company at Wanganui. She hau been insulated throughout, and will be fitted with a new auxiliary engine (100-h.p.). The Morning Light will be placed on the sta'p shortly for painting and overhaul, and will probably be ready to enter he? new sphere of activities in about two months' time.
