THE WEATHER.

(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 10

A westerly depression has passed in the South since Sunday, and rain has fallen on the West Coast and southern districts. Mild and cloudy weather has been experienced generally, with nortkerlv breezes predominating. Present indications are fcr increasing northerly winds north of Kawhai and Castlepoint, and east to south-easterly winds ruling elsewhere. Expect dull and misty weather generally, and considerable rain following. The barometer is falling in the north, but is unsteady, with a rising tendency in the south.
