PERSONAL.
__ Mr G. A. Green, secretary of the New Zealand Nurserymen’s Federation, was in town to-day. Major James Cameron, of the 3rd Reserve Battalion Auckland-Wellington Regiment, writing to his mother (Mrs J. Cameron, of 27 Ingestre Street, Wanganui), from Sling Camp, Salisbury Plain, on January 31, states that’he had just received orders to proceed to London for nine days to form one of the Imperial escort to His Majesty toe King on his opening of Parliament on February 7. The guard was to have been composed of officers from the Overseas Dominions, and the New Zealand portion was to have been made up of 1G majors, ard he was one of the fortunate cues. Major Wotson, also of Wanganui, was one, and Major Cameron said he felt sure Fiat Colonel Hughes would be, pleased to know that "the “good old 7th Regiment is doubly represented.” Horses, were to be supplied by the Horse Guards for the colonial offi T cers.
