WANGANUI AND WEST COAST CANINE SOCIETY.

There was a fair attendance of dogfanciers at the monthly meeting of the Canine Society on Friday night, when Mr J. Driver read a paper on “Dogs I Have Met.” Credit is due to Mr Driver for the way in which he bandied the subject. It showed careful preparation, and was well received by those present. A greyhound judging competition occupied the second half of the programme, when Mr D. McAlees was placed first, Mr A. Healey second, and Mr J. Driver third. The nest competition will be announced later, when a different species of dog will be used.
