Carl Graves, the self-confessed German spy, has been released on bail in Washington, and has returned to New YorkHe declares that the letters which he tried to sell to the German Embassy contained information as to certain stocks which might be “played in” as “sure winners” on the stock market because of certain German activities in the near future. Thev also, he alleges, contained diplomatic secrets of high importance to the United States, and he cnargea Count Bemstorff and his friends / with having made millions of dollar’s by “having played in” stocks on advanced secret information from Germany. ' He says that Count Bemstorff knew 24 hours in Qovance of the visit of the. U53. and “cleared up” in the market on this information.
