WAR PENSIONS.
(Per United Press Association.! WELLINGTON. January 24. Last week the War Pensions Board dealt with 125 new claims. 35 renewals, and seven special cases. Of these 86 were from dependents. Six soldiers were granted permanent pensions, 75 temporary pensions, four were doclin- , ed, and one adjourned. One pension cancelled was that of a rqpn sentenced to three months' imprisonment. Up to date 5620 pensions were granted of /the annual value of £284,876. Deaths and other causes reduced the amount to approximately £244,000. *
