JULIUS KNIGHT’S FAREWELL. TO-NIGHT “A"ROYAL DIVORCE.” ' To-night at eight o’clock the popular actor, Mr Julius Knight, supported by Miss Irene Browne and a powerful company of over 70 artists, will be presented by the J. 0. Williamson Ltd. management in a magnificent production of the stupendous military spectacular drama, “A Royal Divorce,” and to-morrow evening he will make his final appearance in a special revival of Booth Tarkingtonh fascinating . romantic drama, “Monsieur Beaiicaire.” A feature of the production of “A Royal IJivorce” will be the thrilling series of historical tableaux, including “The Battle 'of Waterloo,” “The Charge of the British Cavalry,” “Tin Rout of Napoleon’s Troops,” "Tho Re treat from Moscow,” and “The Rock at St. Helena.” Mr Knight has made a special study of tho character, and when ho plays the part he is for the time being the living man of destiny, who made and unmade Kings at will. 'The charactei of the unfortunate Empress Josephine will be portrayed by Mks Irene Browne, whose representation, of the part, it is said, shines out from all points of view. Mia Lizettp Parkbs is, it is said, at her very best in the role of Stephanie, and others well cast are Mr Leslie Victor who will appear as Talleyrand, Mr Bardley Turner as Grimaud, Herbert J. Bentley as General Augereau, Martin Lewis as Marshal Ney, Lawrence Hardinge at Lord Keith, James Hughes as Murat, Frank Harvey as Marquis dc Beaumont, -Raymond Laurence as Doctor Corvisart, Charles Mors© as Orderly, Arthur Spence as Boatswain, also the Misses Emma Temple as Nurse, Alma Phillips as Angeligue, Stella Swift© as Madame de Campan, and little Phillipa as the King of Rome. ROYAL PICTURES. -ae Royal Pictures, which are showing this week at the Empress Theatre, will screen the current programme to-night for the last time, and patrons should certainly not miss the opportunity of seeing that fine film, “Sous of the Sea,” which shows tho men of the British navy, their leaders, and their ships. A synopsis of this picture is advertised in another column, and will repay perusal. The sea, story, “The Crime of the Hell Ship,” is another attractive feature, and tne supporting pictures, embracing a fine variety of dramatic, travel, and comedy films, are right up to the mark. These pictures, it may be mentioned, are distinct from the programmes shown at the Empress Thatre’s day sessions, which are going on as usual.

The Rose Show to be held on Wednesday, December 2nd, should draw a crowd to the Drill Hall, as in addition to the display of blooms there will be several side-shows, and the whole proceeds will be devoted to . the Belgian Food Fund. The Horticultural Society has been worldlier under considerable difficulty, and their d(° termination, in the face of their financial stringency, to devote the proceeds to such a deserving case as the Belgians should ensure hearty support from the general public:
