THREE MEN DROWNED. (Per United Press Association.) NAPIER, November 28. . ■Whilst'the Kahn was engaged lightering wool at Te Awaite this morning a surf boat capsized, and three men were drowned. No details are to hand. LATEST NEWS. NAPIER, November 28. The ■ names of the men drowned at Te Awaite were Leers (mate), Patterson and O'Brien (seamen). All belonged to Wellington. The lifeboat left the steamer when the accident took place, bat only rescued one. The sea rose rapidly, and t’ne lifeboat was unable to return to the ship. The Ripple has been ordered to the scene from Akito. There are no further details.
