(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, .March 0. Fitzgerald Clark, a negro, was arrested )h is afternoon on a charge of causing actual bodily harm to Edward Doherty. It appears that Doherty was walking along Upper Willis Street with his brother Patrick. They passed Clark, and Edward Doherty said “Good afternoon” to him. Clark called Edward Doherty back. They had a few words. Then Clark struck Doherty and knocked him down. In the fall, Doherty fractured the base of his skull. He was attended to by a doctor and removed to a hospital, where he now, lies unconscious. (Turk alleges Dohoity’ Used offensive language towards him.
