WOOL, SHEEPSKINS, HIDES, AND TALLO WSALE. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows; At our sale to-day we offered a fairsized ' catalogue of crutohings, sheepskins, and hides. Buyers were well represented, and prices were firm for wool and hides, but, if anything, a shade easier for skins. We quote:— - ' Wool.—Crutchings medium ad to 5Jd, dead' wool coarse and heavy 6Jd, stained pieces 3|d and 3Jd, lambs wool (seedy) 7d: Sheepskins.—Crossbred' medium-6d'to 6Jd, crossbred coarse s)d to 6d, crossbred short, 4d to s}d, dead 4|d to 5Jd, pelts damaged and faulty l*d to'BJd, Rides.—Ox’ medium and light 6Jd ;to 03d, cow s|d to 6Jd, faulty hides 3d to 5Jd, calfskins, sound 7-J-d to BJd, calfskins damaged 4d to 6|d, cow tails Is 5d per dozen; Tallow.—ln tins, 24s 6d per cwt.

WOOL, SKIN, AND HIDE SALE. MURRAY, ROBERTS AND CO.’S , REPORT. We offered 10 bales of wool, 4000 sheepskins, and 665 hides and calfskins to-day. Prices were on the same level as last sale; with an occasional drop of one farthing per lb in coarse crossbred skins, while hides were considerably firmer, and showed an advance of an eighth of a penny all round. We quote:— : Wool.—Crossbred rough fleece 6Jd to 71d per lb, crutchings 4)d to s)d. Skins.—Crossbred fine and halfbred 6|d to 7jd, crossbred 6d to 6Jd, short wool 4d to 5(3, dead and hoggets 4d to s£d, lambs 5d to’ejd, damaged and broken 2d to 4-Jd. Hides.—Ox heavy,7d to 7-) d, ox medium 7d, ox light 6d to 65d, cows good medium 6Jd to 6(jd, cows fair ordinary 6d to 6id, damaged, cut and.slippy 4d to badly damaged ltd to 3d. Calfskins.—Good to prime 9Jd to 9|d, medium Bd.to 9d, damaged sd'to 7d.Tallow.—Casks 26s to 28s per cwt., tins , 16s ito 245. ' ’ The date of next; sale is 20th October.
