WANGANUI GOLF CLUB. The last, competition against Bogey for the present season was held on the ■ Belmont Links on Saturday in perfect weather. Amongst’:;tho seniors, that promising young' play's? G. Gill-Carcy (handicap 14} handed in the "best card (all square), 1. K. Paterson (6) and W. A. D’Arey (G), were each 1 down. The best junior card was that of R. 0. Brettargh (all square), A. Blake coining •croud with a score of 1 down.
MATCH v THE MARORO CLUB. On Tuesday a most enjoyable match between the Maroro and Wanganui- Clubs took place on the links of the former. 'Each side had nine players, neiuther chib being- represented by its full strength, but the teams proved to bo very evenly matched. The Maroro Club proved victorious by one match. The result of the various matches arc given under, the Maroro players being mentioned first:Richardson 0 v Ct. Saunders .1, Sigloy 1 v Haworth 0.
