At tlio Church Congress many complaints were made that the Resurrection had boon dropped from religious teaching, except at Eastertide. The Dean of Lichfield said that without the Resurrection, Christianity was only one of the main religions systems groping pathetically after a God. Other speakers described the doctrines of the Risen, Living, Ever-Present and Active Lord as the motive power of a Christians’ life and work, old predominant place in sermon, worship and sacraments.
