The departures after we went to press on Saturday were the Huia, at 4.45 p.m., 1 for Wellington; Regulus, at 5.40 p.m., and the Kennedy, at 7.15 p.m., for Westport. The only departure yesterday (Sunday) was the Moa, which left at 5 a.m. for Westport. The Storm, which left the cattle wharf shortly after 5 o’clock on Saturday morning, ran aground on the flat near the internal wall just below Putiki. where she remained bard and fast till Sunday evening, when the Harbour Board’s tugs succeeded in getting her afloat. The Storm then came up to the town wharf. whore~she now lies, and will probably sail for Wellington on to-night’s tide. Sim takes a-'cargo of rails and cattle. It s stated that the stranding was due to some, of Mho lights in the channel not showing up. Messrs J. 11. Cock and Co., Ltd., advise that the s.s.
