THE CITY ENGINEER'S DUTIES(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, July 21. The position of Mr Bush, city engineer, who has been acting as engineer to the Drainage Board, is occupying much public attention, consequent on a proposal that he should confine himself to Drainage Board work. The matter was further discussed by the City Council last night, when a previous resolution m this direction was withdrawn, and a committee was appointed to investigate the organisation and working of the Engineers’ Department and make recommendations with a view to improved efficiency.
