Von Richtofen. son of a former Minister, bps just been court-martialled on account of his participation in a fatal duel, fought in May last, and in which, after an exchange of three shots, he killed his opponent, a sportsman named Gaffron. The quarrel arose over monetary matters. Richtofen was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment in a fortress. The Court hold that Gaffron’s conduct was not unimpeachable, as ho had not acted as a gentleman in connection with a loan transaction.
