LONDON WOOL SALES.
Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. have re1 ceived the following wool market cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Mivray and Co., dated 23rd | November, 1909:— "The sales have opened with a large attendance of buyers and brisk competition. Compared with the closing rates of la*st sales, merino has declined 5 pcjr cent. Coarse crossbreds have advanced a shade, while o—er descriptions of crossbreds show no material change." Abraham and Williams, Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, under date 23rd inst. : — "The sales have opened, with large attendance of buyers and good competition. Prices for fine and medium crossbred unchanged, but very firm. Coarse crossbred 2± per cent, up, while merinos are firm." Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable message from London, dated 24th hist. : — ••Wool. — Sales cantinue firm, and lately reported rates are fully maintained. Since pur cable of 23rd inst. coars- crc,_.jbre:i wools have advanced 5 per cent." DALGETY AND CO.'S REPORT. At our Feilding sa l e this day there was a medium entry of stock, which sold 'at the following prices: — Sheep. — Aged ewes and lambs 13s 6d to 13s lid, empty ewes &s 9d to Ss 3d, mixed hoggets 13s 9d. ~ Cattle.— Store cows £2. 6s, cows and calves £2 ss, £3 11s 6d, to ,£3 13s 6d, empty heifers £2 19s to £3, forward empty cows .£3 2s, .£3 6a, to d£4, backward cows in calf .£3 17s 6d, 2^-year steers £4, 7s.
