The Storm bird and Arapawa brought general cargoes from Wellington this moaning, and return there again to-night. This morning the Alexander brought cargo, from the West Coast and Nelson. She Returns to-night to Nelson, via Wellington. The Waverley, from Westport, arrived off' tne Heads too late for this morning's tide, jand is due to-night. She returns to Westport. Efforts this morning to re-float the barquentine .St. Kilda from her position on the South Spit proved unsuccessful. Yesterday a quantity of her hardwood cargo was lightered on to Harbour Board punts, and the lightering was continued at low tide to-day, this being the only time- she can be worked, the sea, at high water, being too strong for the punts to safely remain alongside 'the vessel. The tides are now high, and she should, with the cargo that is being removed, lift in a day or so. To-morrow general cargo is due in the Huia from Wellington. On- Thursday the Storm is expected with produce, etc., from the usual ports. The Bimu had not reached Onehunpa up to noon to-day, and it is doubtful if she can be here apain till Friday or Saturday. The Tongariro, en route from Wellington to London, reached Monte Vjdeo on Friday last, whj'e the Athenie, en route Home from Wellington, reached Monte Vidpo last Wpdnes^av. The Corinthic leaves Wellington on Thursday for London. The mission schooner Southern Cross left Auckland on Friday last for Norfolk Island and' Melanesia. The Maraari. from Lyttelton, reached London last Thursday. She left on the 3rd March.
