The organisers of tho c<inc< rt to be held on Friday, the 16t">i April* in aid of the fiiri-te of the Museum, have had the serti -es it foremost musicians of the town offered towards, making the affair a succ(v»s, anri there is reason to believe tlvt it will be one of the best concerts held hero for a long time. The programme will include .some tine musical and elocutionary items, in addition to several noveltit*. whifh will be greatly appreciated. It is to be hoped that the public will give their hearty support, and fill the Opera House on the night in question. It may be mentioned that the object of the concert is to rake funds to carry out some very necessary improvements. For this reason, it is to be expected that an appreciative audience will attend at the Museum Hall to-morrow (Friday) evening, to hear a lecture on the above subject by Mr J. B. Hobart, of Wellington. Mr Hobart, whose articles and letters on the subject, have attracted considerable notice, is an ex-banker, and therefore entitled to speak with authority, and having delved deeply into the problems confronting us his dwonrse on tho efeot which our banking laws and practice have ution the industrial situation should be well worth listening to.
