Nominations for the Marton Jockey Club's annual meeting, to be held on Wednesday and Thursday, 6th and 7th September, close with Mr G. F. Bishop, secretary, on Saturday evening next, .at 8 o'clock.
The C.J.C. Grand National Meeting will be continued to-morrow.
A local sport is said to be standing on velvet at present, as he took ,£IOOO to 5s about Kremlin, Inniskillen, and Cavalry. Another one who commenced with the two former has to rely on Inniskillen to land him a good stake by winning the Hurdles to-morrow.
