AUCTION SALE OF MRS DRUMMOND'S HOLDERDALE PROPERTY TOMORROW.
Messrs C. L. Duigan an"d Co. give a final reminder of the auction sale of the late Mrs Drummond's Holderdale property, which takes place in their Ridgway Stieet rooms to-morrow (Wednesday^ the 16th instant, at 2.30 p.m. sharp. As the property must be sold to wind up the estate, there is sure to be a large attendance of investors.

Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co. will hold a sale of Mr C. B. Laird's dairy herd at Kai Iwi on Thursday.
Mr Alf. Reynolds has at present on view in his shop a number of very fine enlargements of "The Smoker's Friend," which he intends to display at various centres. The photographic work is excellent, and has been highly praised by experts.
Messrs Williams and Harper will sell by auction to-morrow (Wednesday) at 2 p.m.., a consignment of fruit, forest, and ornamental trees and shrubs from the famous Morshead Nursery Company of New Plymouth. The trees -will be' on view on the morning of sale at the mart, and will well repay inspection.
An opinion prevails in some quarters in Wellington that one or two persons whose bodies have recently been fished out of the harbour met their death through foul play. Facts published in connection with tho case of a man named Johnston, whose body was recently found, have tended to strengthen the suspicions that he was practically "done to death" by roughs, and his body then thrown into the harbour. What with this mystery still, unravelled, and' a number of burglaries lately in the Empire City, it is no wonder that the more timid of the women folk there are father scared.
