WAIPAWA, June 20.

Mads Satfcrup, an. old resident, was accidentally poisoned on Saturday night. He had been in the habit of taking rim occasionally as a cure for influenza. A bottle Was kept in the clothes press in his bedroom, and a similar bottle containing carbolic sheep-dip was kept in the children' 3 room, and wa9 used on Saturday, but instead of being returned to its usual place, it was placed in the press alongside the rum. Sattrup went into his bedroom in the dark, and drank the carbolic instead of tho rum. Emetics administered proved ineffectual, and he died au hour after.

At the inquest held yesterday, a verdict was returned of accidental goisoning, no blame being 1 attachable to anyone.
