Promoted to Wanganui.

(From Our Parliamentary Special.)' (By Telegraph.) WELLINGTON, September 23. Mr,W- Austin, leading carriage builder in the Petone Railway Shops, is under orders to' leave for Wanganui,' having been promoted to the post of foreman in the VVanga-nui Railway Shops. For the past twelve years Mr Austin has been captain of the Petone Fire Brigade. At a meeting of the Brigade and fire police, held last evening, it was decided to give Captain Austin evidence of their appreciation.
